Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 9:23AM Ok, the topic might be the result of "a little bias" that I have those days (my son Joseph was born a little more than 3 weeks ago) but the more I think of it, the more it strikes me : Social Media Strategies for companies are just like babies for parents.
1/ You actually have no idea why but still, you want one
2/ There is no short term ROI
3/ Once it's there ... it's there : no "pause" or "mute" button
4/ It's more demanding than you could ever imagine
5/ Everybody seems to have good "tips" but most won't work for you
6/ It's free but will end up costing you a lot of money
7/ There is definitely no such thing as "control"
8/ It's on 24/7
9/ It has your brand name on it
10/ They all fancy playing with it for a while but no one want to be in charge
Fancy discussing (either babies or Social Media)? Drop me a line!
By the way, I'm sure there are plenty more #socialmediaislikebabies items, I'd love reading yours in the comments of this post.
